Looks like there is a bit of blue colouring on the slow worm... if there is then its a male; Plain brown females. :nerd: I used to catch loads a nipper... great beasties and a total pleasure to see

Nice one Nick,Grass Snakes are pretty critturs,give off a strange smell when alarmed,I think it must be some kind of defence.As a kid I must have bought a hundred of the things home to scare the pants off me mum(God bless her),and then released them up in the Garden,along with a lot of Slow Worms as well.My old man was an avid gardner and he had very little problems with slugs due to the healthy population of reptiles that abounded our premises
